Being a kid, it was amazing growing up near the beach. It always gave me an instant satisfying feeling of freedom. I went to school in the small coast village of Oostduinkerke and was raised in a loving family of hardworking parents. Our house was always open for friends and family to drop by and my parents were able to create a relaxing and amusing atmosphere.

 

My Dutch husband and I met at the beach when we were still teenagers. He is born in a family that breathes hospitality. His parents runned a Michelin star restaurant for more than 30 years. Making guests feel at home, to give them an unforgettable and personal experience was their hobby-horse.

 

Together my husband and I started exploring life. Our adventures brought us to many different and beautiful places in the world.

When we lived in Brussels we frequently opened our apartment to welcome guests from across the world. We enjoyed receiving guests, exchanging stories and to discover new cultures.

​

In 2018 we had the opportunity to move to Switzerland where I could start fulfilling my dream job.

​

As our residence by then was far from the Belgian coast line, we decided to buy a vacation home in Nieuwpoort. It would become a place where we could spend holidays and in the meantime catch up with our family and friends. For the moments we were back in Switzerland, we decided to let other people enjoy this relaxing home with a front seat towards the sea.

​

Life received a deeper meaning once we welcomed our beautiful children. When we started to become conscious of what we really value in life, we soon decided what we wanted to offer our kids. Growing up in the proximity of a loving family and to experience boundless opportunities in the safety of a small village before spreading their wings.

​

And as only seaside kids will know.. our heart will always be at the beach.. Therefore we decided in 2022 to move back to my home town Oostduinkerke.  

​

Having our residence now nearby the beach, we thought it would be amazing if we could let other families enjoy an unforgettable time at a stone's throw from the sea.
